At Enterey, we aim to have superior delivery of services. We take a client-centered approach to measuring and improving our quality of delivery, and we ask each of our clients what that means to them.

In our twenty years of experience in the consulting industry, we have learned that the qualities our clients are looking for when selecting consulting services are often different than those that they find drive success in their projects. And from client to client and project to project, different skill sets and characteristics can be more important than others.

So, how do we decide who to hire and what skills to grow?

We continually ask our clients.

In each engagement, we ask our clients quarterly, when possible, how the consultants meet their needs and what we can do to improve. We take this information to address specific opportunities for improvement and aggregate it to plan our training program. The data consistently show that our clients feel the success of their projects is dependent on consultants demonstrating:

  • Initiative:
    Taking the burden off the client. Being motivated and resourceful and moving objectives forward in the absence of guidance.
  • Clear Communication:
    Communicating clearly, promptly, and thoroughly. Using active listening and encouraging discussion and participation of the entire team.  
  • Ability to Build Relationships:
    Developing a strong and trusting relationship with the client and the extended team. Taking a collaborative approach and deftly navigating difficult personalities.

Though hard skills tend to be the #1 reason why our clients do or do not pick us, far and above most of our client feedback, both positive and constructive, is in these three “soft” areas. We are proud to say that these are the areas where we get the most positive feedback from our clients, but that is certainly no accident. Understanding our client's needs, hiring to their specifications, and continually training to improve in those areas helps us exceed their expectations.
